History and Background

JLR & Associates LLC was founded as an independent agency specializing in all areas of employee benefit packages that meet the needs of today's employers. Jim Rivetts, owner and president, began JLR & Associates in 1987 after leaving the Vice President position of a well-regarded national property/casualty brokerage house. As a licensed broker in the areas of Life, Disability, Health, and Property & Casualty, Jim presently focuses his business only on group healthcare benefits to allow him to customize different approaches based on each individual client's needs.

Meet The Team

James L. Rivetts

Jim has been in the insurance industry since 1975. Originally, he was an agent for a major life insurance company and Vice President of a large national property casualty brokerage house. In 1987, he opened his own agency, JLR & Associates LLC. Currently, he holds a Life & Disability license in the states of Washington, California, Oregon, Nevada, Indiana, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska. Additionally, Jim holds a property and casualty license in the state of Washington.

Holly (Rivetts) Hahn

Holly graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Finance. Subsequently, Holly honed her business skills while working in the Accounting Department for a major corporation for two years before joining the Sales staff at JLR & Associates LLC. She holds a Life & Disability agent's license in the state of Washington, and is also licensed to sell variable life and annuity products in the state of Washington as well.

Roy Hahn

Roy joined JLR & Associates LLC as Sales Executive and President of Mongoose LLC, a COBRA compliance administration company, in May 2000. He is a valued sales representative who strives to be creative in resolving issues of every client. Roy holds a Life & Disability agent's license in the state of Washington

Cherise Reese

Cherise graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. She has experience in retail management, accounting and customer service. Her past experience in these areas makes her a valuable Account Representative and Office Manager for JLR & Associates LLC. Cherise holds a Life & Disability agent’s license in the state of Washington.

Pam Moynahan

Pam joins JLR & Associates LLC as our lead Customer Service Representative. She has gained extensive customer service experience working for one of the largest Equine Practices on the West Coast. Additionally, Pam is one of JLR & Associate's key employees for the HIHIT program. Pam holds a Life & Disability agent's license in the state of Washington.

Amber Hahn

Amber graduated from City University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has vast experience in office management and customer service. She has become an extremely effective claims dispute handler for JLR & Associates LLC. In addition, Amber has become an asset for JLR & Associates as part of the HIHIT team. Amber holds a Life & Disability agent's license in the state of Washington.

Scott Sorensen

Scott graduated from Washington State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Sciences. Scott has been with JLR & Associates since 2001 and handles most of the day-to-day COBRA Administration for Mongoose LLC, as well as servicing clients with individual health insurance needs. Scott currently holds a Life & Disability agents' license in the state of Washington.

Anessa Willson

Anessa joined JLR & Associates LLC as a Customer Service Representative two years ago. She has had five years of valuable Customer Service experience at Covington Water District.
